This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of our General Terms and Conditions.

COLLECTION OF GENERAL INFORMATION

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the website content you have requested and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology behind it. We use technical and organizational measures to protect this data from unauthorized access and do not pass it on.

PROVISION OF CHARGEABLE SERVICES

We request additional data, such as payment details, in order to provide chargeable services.

SSL ENCRYPTION

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

CONTACT FORM

If you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

DELETION OR BLOCKING OF DATA

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

USE OF SCRIPT LIBRARIES (GOOGLE WEBFONTS)

We use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers. Google web fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font. Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – although it is currently unclear whether and for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data. The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

USE OF GOOGLE MAPS

This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually. When Google Maps is used, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of the map functions by visitors. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy. You can also change your personal data protection settings there in the data protection center. Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

SUCCESS AND REACH MEASUREMENT

We try to determine how our online offering is used. In this context, we can, for example, measure the success and reach of our activities and operations as well as the effect of third-party links to our website. We can also, for example, test and compare how different parts or versions of our online offering are used (“A/B test” method). Based on the results of the success and reach measurement, we can in particular correct errors, strengthen popular content or make improvements to our online offering.

In most cases, the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of individual users are stored in order to measure success and reach. In this case, IP addresses are generally shortened (“IP masking”) in order to comply with the principle of data minimization through the corresponding pseudonymization.

Cookies may be used to measure success and reach and user profiles may be created. Any user profiles created include, for example, the individual pages visited or content viewed on our website, information on the size of the screen or browser window and the – at least approximate – location. In principle, any user profiles are created exclusively in pseudonymized form and are not used to identify individual users. Individual third-party services with which users are registered may be able to assign the use of our online offering to the user account or user profile of the respective service.

We use in particular:

  • Google Analytics: Performance and reach measurement; Service provider: Google; Google Analytics-specific information: Measurement also across different browsers and devices (cross-device tracking) and with pseudonymized Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, which are only transmitted in full to Google in the USA in exceptional cases, “Data protection”, “Browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics”.
  • Google Tag Manager: Integration and management of other services for measuring success and reach as well as other services from Google and third parties; Provider: Google; Google Tag Manager-specific information: “Data collected with Google Tag Manager”; further information on data protection can be found in the individual integrated and managed services.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing
  • We use Google Ads to advertise our products and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising measures. Google uses cookies to record the interaction of visitors with our ads and our website. This enables us to determine which keywords, ads and campaigns are particularly successful and to optimize our advertising measures in a targeted manner. Further information on data processing by Google can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) and Meta Pixel
  • We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads and to create target groups for future advertising measures. This involves establishing a connection to Meta’s servers after visiting our website. Meta can assign this data to your personal user account if you are logged in there. Further information can be found in Meta’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • Options to object (opt-out)
  • You can object to the processing by Google Ads and Meta Pixel via the ad settings in your browser or by using the corresponding opt-out tools:
  • Google: https://adssettings.google.com
  • Meta: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads

USE OF GOOGLE RECAPTCHA

In order to ensure data security when submitting forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service from Google Inc. This is primarily used to distinguish whether the input is made by a human or machine/automated. As a result, the IP address and any other data required by Google for reCAPTCHA are forwarded to Google. Google’s privacy policy applies to this. You can find more information about Google’s privacy policy at http://www.google.de/intl/de/privacyoder https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES
