This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the website content you have requested and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology behind it. We use technical and organizational measures to protect this data from unauthorized access and do not pass it on.

PROVISION OF CHARGEABLE SERVICES

We request additional data, such as payment details, in order to provide chargeable services.

SSL ENCRYPTION

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

CONTACT BY E-MAIL

If you contact us by e-mail, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. This data will only be disclosed if necessary to fulfil your request or if we are legally obliged to do so, for example through official inquiries or to enforce legal claims.

DELETION OR BLOCKING OF DATA

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

USE OF SCRIPT LIBRARIES (GOOGLE WEBFONTS)

To display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://fonts.google.com/). Google Webfonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font. Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible that operators of corresponding libraries may collect data – although it is currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes. In this context, we can, for example, measure the success and reach of our activities and operations as well as the effect of third-party links to our website. We can also, for example, test and compare how different parts or versions of our online offering are used (“A/B test” method). Based on the results of the success and reach measurement, we can in particular correct errors, strengthen popular content or make improvements to our online offering.

In most cases, the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of individual users are stored in order to measure success and reach. In this case, IP addresses are generally shortened (“IP masking”) in order to comply with the principle of data minimization through the corresponding pseudonymization.

Cookies may be used to measure success and reach and user profiles may be created. Any user profiles created include, for example, the individual pages visited or content viewed on our website, information on the size of the screen or browser window and the – at least approximate – location. In principle, any user profiles are created exclusively in pseudonymized form and are not used to identify individual users.
